3D Secure Payments

Obee in partnership with Pin Payments features 3D Secure (3DS) payments for all transactions processed via Obee Booking and Voucher widgets.

What does this mean for guests?

If a guest has opted 'in' for sms security protocols with their banking institution, they are required to fulfil an authentication step before proceeding with a payment.

If a guest has not opted in they will not be presented with the additional security step and their payment may proceed without card holder authenticity check.

What does this mean for venues?

3D Secure Payments offer venues added security measures to confirm the authenticity of the card holder and prevent instances of potential fraud. The feature is active in all Obee accounts.

The experience

3DS will direct the guest to an authentication step hosted by their banking institution's website.

In order to complete an online transaction, the cardholder is asked to provide proof of identity by entering a unique password, an SMS code or a temporary PIN.

3DS is verified within seconds allowing for safe and seamless experience.

Other preventative measures

All online transactions carry inherent risks and we advise to adopt some measures to deter and negate the potential for fraud.
