What is an online cut-off?

The online cut-off is designed to stop inconvenient changes to your table allocations, by preventing guests from making, editing and cancelling reservations online at short notice.

If a guest attempts to make, edit or cancel a reservation, and a cut-off applies, a message explaining the cut-off will be displayed. For guests trying to make a reservation, the message will also mention that tables may still be available and will list your venue’s phone number to call for further information.

If no online cut-off is set, guests will be able to make a reservation any time, and edit or cancel their existing reservation right up until the time it begins.

There are three types of online cut-offs:
  • The fixed cut-off time prevents guests from booking online from a specified time
  • The sessional cut-off time prevents guests from booking online for a session that begins in a specified amount of hours
  • The rolling cut-off time prevents guests from booking online for a reservation that begins in a specified amount of hours
