Pricing Changes and Variations

When updating the price of a active Experience or Add-on there a number of scenarios to consider to determine the best way to apply the change

How to add a pricing variation

Different Scenarios

Temporary Pricing Change - Effective for a weekday, specific date or date range

To apply a temporary price change (for a particular weekday, date, or date range) without altering the item’s base price, add the change as a pricing variation. This ensures the base price remains unchanged outside the specified period.

Permanent Pricing Change - Effective on a future date

To set a new ongoing price effective from a future date:

Suppose the "Feed Me" menu is currently $120 per person, increasing to $160 per person from October 10.

Steps:

  1. Add the current price as a pricing variation, using the 'Date range' condition to apply it from today until the day before the new price takes effect.
  2. Update the item’s base price to the new ongoing price in the Pricing settings.

This setup ensures the current price remains in effect until the change date, after which the new price automatically applies to all future bookings.
