How to set up Mailchimp integration

Obee’s Mailchimp integration seamlessly syncs the names and email addresses of your guests between your Obee and Mailchimp accounts. Guests who have opted in to receive email marketing will be synced to your chosen Mailchimp audience. Best of all, it’s two-way! If a guest unsubscribes from your email newsletters, their Obee guest profile will automatically be updated to reflect this.
Once enabled, new guest data will automatically be sent to your Mailchimp account. Existing guest data can be exported from your Obee account (see: How to export your marketing list) and imported into your Mailchimp account.

Create your API Key in Mailchimp:

  1. Log in to your Mailchimp account
  2. Select your profile name and choose Account from the dropdown menu

  3. Select the Extras dropdown menu and choose API keys
  4. Select Create A Key (we recommend naming the API key as Obee for your reference)


Find the unique ID for your audience in Mailchimp:

  1. Navigate to the Audience page
  2. On the right hand side of the Audience page, in the Manage Audience dropdown, choose View audiences

  3. Select the dropdown menu on the right of the audience you want to sync with Obee, and choose Settings (we recommend using a dedicated Obee audience)

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the unique ID for the audience


Enable Mailchimp integration in Obee:

  1. Log in to your Obee account
  2. Select More from the main menu, then select Marketing from the dropdown
  3. Select Integrations from the Marketing submenu
  4. Enter the API Key and Audience ID from your Mailchimp account into the respective fields

  5. Select Enabled from the dropdown menu to the left of the API Key and Audience ID fields
  6. Select Save settings
